It’s been a whirlwind year for us at Concept North and we went out with a bang, celebrating the amazing industry we work in…whilst kicking off the festive season in style of course ;)
Nearly two weeks ago, 60 of you lovely lot turned up at The Daisy in Manchester’s Northern Quarter; a quirky, intimate and stylish venue with homely décor and tasty food. We welcomed you all with a Christmas themed drink on arrival, courtesy of our organic drinks sponsor Copalli Rum and you mingled the night away. Some of you even stayed on after we’d left!
Our November event’s theme was ‘Sustainability in Design’ and the team from Eporta travelled up from London to talk to us about what sustainability means in the interior design industry, the five main things to look out for and they also showed us some examples of forward-thinking brands that are already integrating more eco-conscious ways of working into their business practise.
After every event we go away feeling uplifted, inspired and filled with a new sense of purpose and we really hope you all did too. Organising these event’s have been the highlight of the year and we are amazed by all the talented people that we have here up North.
We’re so excited to continue growing this community in 2020 and we want to thank you all for showing up, getting involved and spreading the word so that we can keep this Northern design hub alive!
First and foremost we want to thank our 2019 sponsors for supporting us this year; Tim, Andy and the team at Concept Bespoke Joinery (our main sponsors) for believing in our vision and trusting us to deliver on our promise. Another big thank you to Melanie and Karen from Tektura Wallcoverings (event sponsors) for supporting us from day one and being great fun to work with! Lastly a big thanks to Gemma from Versital (event sponsors) for her enthusiasm and help in spreading the word.
At the end of the night, as always we held our prize draw and all guests were entered. We love how excited everyone gets when we reveal the winners! This time Hemming & Wills, Kanth London and White Light Ceramics gifted some great prizes.
Make sure you subscribe to the newsletter if you haven't done so already as we'll be announcing the 2020 event schedule and plans very soon, plus we have some brand new opportunities available for brands and suppliers.
