When we founded Concept North our goal was to create unique, inspiring and fun events with a relaxed and friendly vibe. Our events are tailored specifically for us Northerners who work in the design and property industry, to collaborate, inspire and support one another. We really believe the North of the UK lacks enough event opportunities that are actually beneficial to grow a business with a chance to connect and collaborate with like-minded industry professionals... so we are here to make a change!
Last Thursday brought together a talented bunch of creatives, with a mix of interior designers, architects, independent makers and interior suppliers at our second event held in April's Kitchen in Knutsford, Cheshire. Our guests were greeted with a drink on arrival within an intimate space with quirky decor full of pops of colour and bold statement flooring. Oh we do love a tiled floor!

It was an insightful evening filled with mingling, food tasting, thought-provoking discussions on the topic of problem clients, fun competitions and we ended the evening with a special goody bag filled with gifts from our sponsors and other contributors (Havwoods, White Light Ceramics, Rose and Grey Interiors). The goody bags went down a treat!
The highlight of the evening had to be our panel discussion on the topic of difficult clients. A big thank you to our panel members James Lawrenson (Creative Director, James Lawrenson Interiors), Lisa Raynes (Founder, Pride Road Architects) and Steve Harvey (Group Chairman, Hillyer McKeown) who shared some interesting stories of their experiences and expertise. A big thank you to our guests who got involved with the conversations and asked some thought-provoking questions.

All of our guests were entered into a raffle on the night! Well done to our competition winners, Lizzy Wynne from The Design Pantry who won a beautiful stool from The Odd Chair Company, Rosie Ashley from Ashley Interiors who won a 100% woven cotton blanket from Luks Linen and finally Stephanie Brookshaw from The Dusty Loft who won two bespoke cushions from Arley House.
